NEXION PATCH PANELS – UTP & VOICE

NEXION PATCH PANELS have ports in the front which are hard-wired to terminals at the back. The ports at the front are numbered. The terminals at the back are also numbered and colour-coded for easy termination of wires.

The cables from the different Work Stations (or Telco points for voice) in the network terminate at the back of the NEXION PATCH PANEL. The cables from the Data or Telco Switch are also similarly terminated on different terminals at the back. The termination is done on the Patch Panel terminals with a Punch-Down tool (available from NUMERIQUE). The colour-coded terminals ease the cable termination. The terminated cables are already hard-wired to the different ports at the front of the Patch Panel.

At the front of the NEXION PATCH PANEL, the Patch Panel ports are “jumpered” to the network switch using NEXION patch cables (or “Fly-Cables” or “Fly-Leads”). A direct connection, swappable when necessary, has thus been made from the Work Station / Faceplate (or Telco points for voice) to the Network Switch. The Patch Panel facilitated this.

• Meet or exceed TIA/EIA-668-B.2-1 Category 6 Component Performance Specification.
• Tested for NEXT, PS-NEXT, FEXT, Return Loss, and Attenuation up to 360MHz.
• Includes Cable Ties, Cable Organizer, and Mounting Hardware.
• 24-port 0r 48-port patch panels occupy 1U space on Rack
