PDUs –KNOW MORE! (PART TWO- SWITCHED PDUs)

Know more about your PDUs – Part 2 on Switched PDUs. In Part One we discussed Basic PDUs. Today we are discussing Switched PDUs.

Like the NEXION Basic PDU, the NEXION Switched PDU distributes power to multiple sockets, provides protection against surges and, has a mains switch.

However, unlike the Basic PDU, each outlet on the Switched PDU has an individual switch. This allows the individual control of each outlet and therefore the device connected to the outlet.

There can also be local and/or remote switching (using an Intelligent PDU) of the individual sockets. This will be discussed later under Intelligent PDUs.
